This afternoon we were alerted to the problems with one of the SAN units servicing mail.ihostasp.net legacy HELM mail server. Earlier in the week we replaced failed drive and the SAN unit was rebuilding RAID redundancy on the newly installed disk drive. Earlier this morning one of the legacy HELM cluster mail servers had suffered a hardware failure. The users hosted on the legacy HELM cluster were not able to access their mail services during a brief outage that lasted approximately 3 hours. The issue that was experienced on the HELM legacy cluster mail server "mail.ihostasp.net" has been fully correct as of about 1:00 pm EST this afternoon. The mails erver has been fully operational since then and we do not anticipate any further issues or inservice interruptions. We greatly appreciate everyone's patience while the issue was resolved.
